NEWTON & VICINITY

Isaac B. Androes of Newton died June 27 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital at the age of 85. Albert Epp and Andrew Shelly officiated at June 30 services at the First Mennonite Church of Newton. Androes retired from the Hesston Corporation in 1960. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Anne Ens, who died in 1963. Surviving is his widow, Anna (Warkentine), whom he married in 1965. Also surviving are two daughters, Erma (Mrs. Frank) Janzen and Linda (Mrs. Melvin) Domingo, both of Hutchinson; two sons, Robert of Walton and Walter of Wichita; seven sisters, Mrs. Kate Hiedebrecht, Mrs. Sara Bergen and Mrs. Bertha Thiessen of Inman, Mrs. Anna Janzen of Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Mary Buller of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Mrs. Agnes Thiessen of Meade, Kan. and Mrs. Lena Buller of Salem, Ore.; two brothers, Peter of Fresno and Gustave of Nowata, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
