PETER NIGHTINGALE

Peter Nightingale of Winfield, B.C. passed away Oct. 8. He was born June 10, 1911 to Rev. Abram and Maria Nachtigal in Alexanderkrone, Russia. In 1924 the family immigrated to Ontario, later mov- r-Cisaac (talk)---. ing to Manitoba and, in 1.9.3,P, Yarrow, B .C. There he married Agnes Toews in 1938. He worked in the hopyards. For years h e operated his own fruit farm. In his mid-40s he experienced a l~-cha~ing c.2!!-vers~n. Illness force him into ear y retirement, but he remained instrumental in the work of Inland Tract Distributors for many years. He also continued to work on his large and unique collection of potted plants. They moved to Winfield in 1977. He is remembered as a kind and faithful friend and as a man of integrity, sustained by humble faith and ceaseless prayer. Predeceased by his wife in 1985, he is mourned by his children Elfrieda Krumbhols and Dave of Winfield, Florence Ross of Port Coquitlam, B.C. and Larry of Vancouver; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. The funeral was Oct. 10 in Winfield Missionary Church, with Gary 7 Dahl, Gene Whitehead, Wayne Shirton ·and D;;t;e ax-tens ministering.
