JOHN J. BOLDT

John J . Boldt of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away July 17. He was born in 1907 to Johann and Agathe Boldt in Alexanderkrone , Molotschna, southern Russia. He completed one year of high school, then had to help on the farm. He accepted Christ as a youth and was baptized at 17. The family immigrated to Hepburn, Sask. in 1926. In 1927 they moved to Namaka, Alta ., then moved back to Saskatchewan in 1929. He worked in Henley, Sask. for a year, then rented a farm with his brother-in-law. Theyorganized a small church. After 2 years he move to Hepburn, and joined the church there. Several years later he married Susie Thiessen. In 1945 they bought a fruit farm in Vineland, Ontoand joined the MB church there. In 1971 they sold the farm and moved into Vineland. Susie died after a 3-year struggle with cancer. He married Tina Schmor, but she died 7 months later. Ten days later, John's son William died. He moved to Clearbrook and married Annie Peters 3 years later. They served on the funeral catering committee and sang in the choir at Clearbrook MB Church. He is remembered as a loving, caring father and loved and served the Lord. Predeceased by wives Susie and Tina, son William and 3 brothers, he is mourned by his wife Annie; children John of Pennsylvania, Elizabeth of Langley, B.C. and Henry of Aldergrove, B.C.; stepch ildren Elvira Wiebe of Surrey, B.C., Bill Peters of Abbotsford, B.C., Alvin Peters of Texas, Arnold Peters, Wally Peters and Marilyn Peters of Kelowna, B.C. and Margaret Smith of Calgary; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; 1 brother and 2 sisters. The funeral was July 20 in Clearbrook MB Church, with John E. Klassen, Jacob Pauls and Henry Wiebe ministering.
