MRS. AGATHA ENNS

(Mrs.) Agatha Enns of Steinbach, Man. went to be with the Lord on June 27. She was born to Dietrich and Anna Hoeppner of south-eastern Ukraine on February 21, 1901. She was married to Gerhard Enns in 1920 and emigrated to Canada with him in 1924. The couple settled near Steinbach, where they farmed for about thirty years. She and her husband accepted Christ as Saviour in 1927, and were baptized and received. as members in the Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church. Following the death of her husband, Agatha moved into the town of Steinbach in 1959.

Her family remembers her for the way she encouraged them to seek out and develop the gifts and talents God had given them, and for her deep convictions, warm love and her appreciation of beauty. She was predeceased by her husband, a son and two grandchildren. She will be missed by her twelve children: George and wife Evelyn, Connie and husband Vic Hamm, Neil and wife Leona, Waldo and wife Ruth and Hildi and husband Peter Braun, all of Winnipeg; Peter and wife Elvira, Mary and husband Bill Giesbrecht and Judith, all of Steinbach; Helen and husband Henry Bergman of Blumenort, Man.; Anne and husband Peter Berg of Rosenfeld, Man.; Jake and wife Ruth of Ottawa and Edith and husband Vern Fast of Kleefeld, Man.; 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in the Steinbach MB Church, with Jake Falk and Henry Regehr officiating.
