MRS. ALBERT J. KOEHN

Mrs. Albert J. Koehn, nee Lizzie Wedel, daughter of Cornelius and Nettie Wedel, was born January 14, 1887, near Moundridge, Kansas. She departed this life Thursday, July 15, 1954, at the McPherson County Hospital following a lingering illness. She reached the age of 67 years and seven months.

On June 17, 1904 she was baptized upon her confession of faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and was received into the fellowship of the Emmanuel Mennonite church of which she remained a member until her departure. She was united in marriage to Albert J. Koehn on December 25, 1912. She was a kind and devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her affectionate husband; two sons, Ormand of Galva and Jonathan of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and one daughter, Mrs. Philip Riadatz [sic Radatz] of Galva; seven grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. one daughter, Brece Leona, preceded her in death.

". . . Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours . . ."

Funeral services were held at the Emmanuel Mennonite church, Saturday, July 17, at 9:00 a.m., with Rev. G. H. Wedel in charge. Special music was rendered by a quartet consisting of Victor Koehn, Elmer Jantz, Leon Jantz and Daton Wedel. Casket bearers were Eugene Koehn, Nelson Koehn, Nathan Koehn, John Wedel, Harry Wedel and Virgil Koehn. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
