DAVID JOHN ISAAK

David John Isaak of Lloydminster, Sas katchewan went to be with the Lord on April 8, at the age of thirty-five. He was born in Rabbit Lake, Sask. on May 11, 1943, and was raised in the farming community of Glenbush. He completed his high school education there and went on to Bethany Bible Institute where he graduated. Further education took him through the School of Agriculture and the University of Saskatche wan where he graduated with his BA and BEd. On July 5, 1969, he was married to Gwen Garratt of Frenchman Butte, Sask. At the time of his passing, Dave had taught at the Lloydminster Junior High School for eleven years. Dave's great and central ambition was to serve the Lord whom he loved. After accept ing Christ at an early age, he served both in local church work and in his own personal wit ness to those around him. He initiated the Christian Service Brigade ministry in the First Baptist Church where he attended, served on the church camp committee and spearheaded the development of new facilities at the camp. He worked faithfully for many years on the deacon's board, serving as chairman at the time of his death. Dave was an able Sunday school teacher and Bible study survival skills among his Brigadiers as they went on back packing and canoeing trips. The boys saw some significant answers to prayer as Dave taught them to depend on the Lord for immediate needs. Dave was a very devoted husband and father, delighting in teaching his own little boys the ways of the Lord. He is mourned by his loving wife, Gwen; two sons, Jason and Lowell; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John P. Isaak of Saskatoon; three brothers: Elvin and his wife Shirley of Saskatoon, Victor and wife Anne of Burlington, and Walter and wife Wilma of Glenbush; and two sisters: Erika (Mrs. Vern Schmidt) of Waldheim, and Helen (Mrs. Don Gallaugher) of Saskatoon. The funeral service was conducted at the J.J . Giesbrecht Auditorium in Lloydminster with pastors Harvey Peters and Jim Browning of Lloydminster, Rueben Baerg of Saskatoon and Elwood McLean of Frenchman Butte officiating.
