EMILY RUTH LITTLE

Emily Ruth Little of Battle Heights, Sask. passed away May 5. She was born Oct. 15, 1906 to George and Emily Blenkin of Sintaluta, Sask. The family moved to Nipawin, Sask. in December, 1924. On Oct. 4, 1928 she married Clayton Little. The early years of their marriage were spent in Nipawin and Moose Range, Sask. In fall, 1939 they filed on a homestead at Battle Heights, Sask., where she resided until her death. In her senior years, she enjoyed travelling and camping with the family. She enjoyed preserving, making "diary entries" on the jars. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting and reading; sincerely loved her family, friends and neighbours; and always appreciated community and church events. Predeceased by her husband in 1968, 1 sister and 2 brothers, she is survived by her children Laurie of Carrot River, Sask., Lyle of Burns Lake, B.C., Lois of Biggar, Sask., and Lome and Linda of Carrot River; 9 grandchildren; niece Pat Pederson, whom she included in her family following her sister Ada's death; 2 brothers and 1 sister. The funeral was May 9 in MB Gospel Mission in Carrot River, with Herman Kroeker ministering.
