ELVA MONTEITH

Elva Monteith of Coaldale, Alta. passed away May 25. She was born June 10, 1924 in Devlin Township, Ont. and educated in Kincardine, Ont. She married James Monteith Aug. 22, 1942. They moved to Alberta, then B.C., retiring to Coaldale in 1978. She is remembered as a joyous Christian, eager to share her Lord with others. Her unwavering trust during months of suffering from cancer was an inspiration to many. She is survived by her husband, daughters Judith Doiron and Darlene Leger and sons Phillip and Stephen, all of Alberta; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She planned her funeral as a testimony of her steadfast faith in her Saviour. The funeral was in Coaldale MB Church, where she had fellowshipped for a number of years, with Rudy Heidebrecht ministering.
