AMELIA HARDER

Amelia Harder passed away Feb. 5. She was born Nov. 14, 1891 to Paul and Maria Koop in Tiege, Molotschna, Russia. At an early age she committed her life to Christ and was baptized. She married Jacob Harder Oct. 31, 1913. Daughter Lydia was born in 1919. They immigrated to Canada in 1924, settling in Alexander, Man. In 1934 they moved to Manitou, Man., where they adopted son Jacob Allen. She served in numerous areas in Manitou MB Church, including that of custodian. Her greatest desire in life was to serve the Lord. In 1977 she moved to Salem Home, Winkler, Man. Predeceased by her daughter in 1958, husband in 1976 and son in 1986, she is mourned by 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The funeral was Feb. 11 in Manitou MB Church, with George Toews and Jake Klassen ministering.
