MICHAEL LEONARD HAUM

Michael Leonard Haum of St. Williams, Ont. died Mar. 22. He was born Jan. 7, 1975 to Leonard Haum and Cheryl Clark. He attended St. Williams Public School and Walsingham Public School and was in his second year at Valley Heights Secondary School. He was a good student, interested in attending college or university. On Mar. 22 he collapsed suddenly due to a cardiac tumour during physical education class. He attended Port Rowan MB Church Sunday school, had attended Christian Service Brigade, was a member of the youth group and had accepted Christ. He loved skateboarding, snowboarding, collecting baseball cards and spending time with friends. For the past 2 summers he had worked at Kauk's cucumber grading station, where he was admired for his enthusiasm, hard work and cheery disposition. He is remembered for his heartwarming smile, positive attitude in all areas and love for teasing and clowning around. He is mourned by his father; mother; stepmother Maxine; stepfather Ken; brother Brian; sister Shelley; half sisters Vicki and Janet Haum; stepsisters Laura and Jenny Clark; great-grandparents Peter and Helena Teigrob; grandparents Ralph and Hilda Suderman and Margaret Haum; and step grandparents Max and Evelyn Carroll and Harry and Rose Clark. The funeral was Mar. 24 in Port Rowan MB Church , with Peter Klassen and Arnie Neufeld ministering and most of the 215 students and staff of Valley Heights Secondary School attending.
