MARY KLIEWER

Mary Kliewer of Saskatoon passed away Apr. 8. She was born Oct. 31, 1906 to Cornelius and Agnes Kliewer in Henderson, NB. In fall, 1918 the family immigrated to Hepburn, Sask., moving to Dalmeny, Sask. a few years later. She received the Lord at 17, when Jacob Thiessen held evangelistic meetings in Dalmeny MB Church. She was baptized Aug. 17, 1922 by Jacob Lepp and joined Dalmeny MB Church. In 1952 she moved to Saskatoon, joining Central MB Church. She was active in the missionary prayer band for many years. In 1974 she moved to Central Haven Personal Care Home. She loved her friends and is remembered for her special interest in her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers John. Peter, Chris and Claus, sisters Ida Schmidt and Nettie Woodward, 2 nieces and 1 nephew, she is mourned by her twin sister Martha Doerksen of Saskatoon and 13 nieces and nephews. The funeral was Apr. 13 in Central MB Church, with Arnie Fehderau and R.M. Baerg ministering.
