AGATHA TOEWS

Agatha Toews of Vancouver passed away Mar. 22. She was born Aug. 18, 1928 to Isaac and Katharina Toews at Drake, Sask. She met the Lord and was baptized in her teens at Philadelphia MB church in Watrous, Sask. In 1946 the family moved to B.C. After attending Bible school in south Abbotsford, B.C., she returned to work in Vancouver, then spent a number of years convalescing. During this time she renewed her commitment to the Lord. She again sought work and found her niche working as a companion to an ailing senior. In the last few years she found much satisfaction as a volunteer at the MCC store. She passed away suddenly after 4 days of illness. She loved beautiful things, loved to sing and loved to serve the Lord and study his Word. Her favourite verse was Pa. 66:20. She is mourned by her brothers Isaac of Clearbrook, B.C., Jacob of Abbotsford, Abe of Victoria, B.C., Ferd of Winnipeg, Bill of Regina and Neil of Edmonton; sisters Mary Rempel of Abbotsford, Helen Giesbrecht of Vancouver, Kathy of Richmond, B.C., Elsie Willms of Oakville, Man. and Lydia of Richmond. The funeral was Mar. 27 in Culloden MB Church, Vancouver, with Rudie Willms ministering.
