— Word was received here of the death of Rev. Jacob B. Schmidt, 85, pastor emeritus of the Bergtal Mennonite church at Pawnee Rock, which occurred Monday morning. He was the father of Mrs. W. F. Unruh, North Newton. Funeral services are to be held at Pawnee Rock on Thursday afternoon.
