PETER BLOCK

Peter Block of St.Catharines passed away Easter Sunday, Mar. 31. Injuries resulting from a serious auto accident Feb. 14 left him struggling for life for more than 6 weeks. He was born Apr. 9, 1931 to Abram and Elizabeth Block at Oxbow, Sask. Throughout his life, most of it lived in Ontario, he was known as one who served and who extended himself on behalf of others. He served as a member of the Moments of Blessing quartet, as a teacher and administrator in the public school system, as a board member and maintenance manager at Camp Crossroads and as a servant in the local church. He was a member of Grantham MB Church in St. Catharines. He is mourned by his wife Elsie; children Donna Wiebe of Winnipeg, Nancy Peters of Ridgeville, Ont. and Lisa Thielmann of Winnipeg; 3 grandchildren; his mother of St. Catharines; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
