LAWRENCE WILLEMS

Lawrence Willems of Saskatoon passed away Oct. 20. He was born Mar. 2, 1917 to John and Helena Willems in the Great Deer District, Sask. He committed his life to the Lord as a teenager, remaining faithful throughout his life and drawing great strength from his Lord during his last difficult weeks suffering from cancer. In 1940 he was baptized and joined Borden (Sask.) MB Church. In 1940 he married Helen Voth of Hepburn, Sask. They farmed at Hepburn for most of their married life. After retirement he enjoyed carpentry, gardening, repairing small engines, reading, listening to Bible programs on radio and TV and spending time with his family. He is mourned by his wife; daughters Delores Keck and Glenda Mihalicz; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
