HENRY SCHROEDER

Henry Schroeder of Herbert, Sask. passed away Jan. 30, following a heart attack. He was born Nov. 22, 1909 to Jacob and Sarah Schroeder at Main Centre, Sask. He attended public school at Lowe Farm and then Herbert Bible School for 2 years. As a teen, he accepted Christ in Main Centre ME Church; he was baptized Aug. 26, 1928 and joined the church. He served as choir director, Sunday school superintendent and member of the finance committee. He married Laura Wiebe July 16, 1942. He loved his family and enjoyed his career as a farmer until retiring to Herbert in 1975. He is remembered for his love for the Word of God and the way he talked to his heavenly Father. His lifetime verse was Is. 40:31. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 4 sisters, he is mourned by his wife; daughter Doreen of Calgary; son Gerry of Main Centre; 3 grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister. The funeral was Feb. 4 in Herbert MB Church, with Gene White ministering.
