DONALD DAVID PETKAU

Donald David Petkau of Wembley, Alta. died Dec. 22 in a traffic accident near Fox Creek, Alta. He was born Sept. 11, 1962 to Pete and Ann Petkau in Swift Current, Sask. Sports and music were a big part of his life. He was known for his words of encouragement and big heart. He came to know the Lord as a child and was baptized in 1978 in Highland MB Church, Calgary. He graduated from high school in Calgary, then attended Bethany Bible Institute for 1 year. He married Lavonne Janzen of Hythe, Alta. Oct. 8, 1983. He was a loving, dedicated husband and father and was enthusiastically involved in the music and Sunday school ministry in La Glace (Alta.) Bible Fellowship Church. He is mourned by his wife; daughters Jolene and Jacquie; parents, now of Calgary; grandparents David and Elizabeth Petkau of Clearbrook, B.C.; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. The funeral was Dec. 27 in La Glace Bible Fellowship Church, with Peter Boschman and Phil Born ministering.
