AGNES HOWIE

Agnes Howie was born Dec. 23, 1901 in Glasgow, Scotland, one of 5 children of John and Jessie Bayne. She lost her mother when she was 12. In 1926 she came to Canada, sponsored by the Salvation Army. She lived in Toronto. In 1929 she married William Howie. They moved to Fort Erie, Ont. in the 1930s. In 1951 she accepted Jesus and was baptized in First Baptist Church, Fort Erie, where she was a member for 28 years. William died in March, 1978. In December, 1979 she sold the farm and moved to Niagara Falls, Ont. There she attended Niagara Falls Christian Fellowship, becoming a member in 1980. She is remembered as a faithful church member and a lady who prayed faithfully for others. She is mourned by her son Bill, daughter Nancy Gautier and 5 grandchildren. The funeral was Nov. 19, with Henry Wiebe ministering.
