JEFFREY PETER TAVES

Jeffery Peter Taves of Ruthven, Ont. was killed Oct. 15 in an automobile accident. He was born Apr. 23, 1970 to Ben and Anita Taves in Windsor, Ont. He grew up and lived the rest of his life in Ruthven. He loved life and made others enjoy the brighter side of things. He graduated from Ruthven Public School and then Kingsville District High School in 1989. He was in his second year of the Honours B.A. program in geography at the University of Windsor. He was on his way to school with his friend Shane O'Brien to write midterm exams when the accident happened. He was a serious student. He loved to plan, organize and take part in special events in the young people's group (college and careers) and in sporting and recreational outings. He was a member of Leamington (Ont.) MB Church and served faithfully and cheerfully when asked. He built friendships easily and was a loving son and brother. His faith left a lasting impression on many in the community. He is mourned by his parents, brother David and sister Elaine Harrison. A joint funeral for Shane and Jeffery was held Oct. 17 in Leamington MB Church, with Rodger Jackson and John Nikkel ministering.
