SUSIE HIEBERT

Susie Hiebert of Herbert, Sask. passed away Oct. 24. She was born Dec. 1, 1906 to John P. and Aganetha Wiebe in Lobethal, Sask. She accepted the Lord at age 12, was baptized a month later and joined Main Centre (Sask.) MB Church. Later the family moved to Herbert, where her mother performed many nursing duties and her father was a well-known minister. She married Lloyd Hiebert Oct. 20, 1932 in Herbert. They spent most of their years in the Herbert area. After he died, she moved to a home on Dennis St. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends and made a point of keeping in contact with her extended family. She enjoyed handwork and was always making something to give away, right to the last day. The beautiful items are reminders of her love and unselfishness. Her keen interest in her church and missions provided many opportunities to be involved in ministry. Her family was often encouraged by her concern and assurance of prayer. Predeceased by her husband, daughter Elizabeth, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, she is mourned by her daughters Elsie Thiessen, Wynn Lautermilch, Naomi Gitzel and Carolyn Krahn; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters. The funeral was Oct. 29 in Herbert MB Church, with Gene White ministering.
