HENRIETTA PENNER

Henrietta Penner of Winkler, Man. passed away Oct. 15. She was born Aug. 15, 1914 to Abram and Anna Penner near Horndean, Man. At 11, she accepted Jesus, was baptized and joined Grossweide (Man.) MB Church. She married Abram H. Penner Aug. 30, 1931. They farmed 41 years at Kane, Man. They enjoyed spiritual growth and fellowship at Grossweide and Rose Farm (Man.) churches, encouraging their children to participate. In 1972 they retired to Winkler. Abram died in November, 1975. Her prayer for inner strength was answered and she enjoyed travelling to visit her children. She is remembered for her gentle way of making home prosperous and happy; sincere, loving ways and open hospitality; dependability as a prayer warrior; and ability to make the best of every situation without complaining. At the end she peacefully committed herself into God's hands, expressing her readiness to meet her Saviour and her contentment with completing her task on earth. Predeceased by her husband, 3 brothers and 7 sisters, she is mourned by children Orvan of Steinbach, Man., Verna Froese of Toronto, Alvin of Winkler and Dianne Enns of Steinbach; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister. The funeral was Oct. 19 in Winkler MB Church, with Wally Klassen, Jake Neufeld and J.J. Neufeld ministering
