TINA DYCK

Tina Dyck of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away Aug. 22. She was born Mar. 27, 1918 to George and Elizabeth Esau in Herbert, Sask. At 15 she left school and worked on a dairy farm. At 16 she accepted the Lord and was baptized in Swan River MB Church. At 18 her mother died, and she returned home to help the family. In 1941 they moved to B.C. She attended Yarrow Bible School 1944-46. She married Nick Dyck Oct. 6, 1950, taking responsibility for his 4 children. Eight years later a son was born. She was always busy doing deeds of kindness for others, asking, "Who is my neighbour?" Predeceased by 8 siblings and an infant son, she is mourned by her husband; sons Walter of Calgary, Denis of Winnipeg and Rodney of Abbotsford, B.C.; daughters Marty of Clearbrook and Carole of Maple Ridge, B.C.; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The funeral was Aug. 27 in Bakerview MB Church, Clearbrook, with Jacob Quiring and Henry Thiessen ministering.
