MRS. MARY NELSON

(Mrs.) Mary Nelson of Edmonton died peacefully on October 13, 1978 after an illness of nearly a year. She was born on September 2, 1936 in Winnipeg, and spent her childhood years at Elm Creek, Man. She graduated from Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute in 1953 and then attended Winkler Bible Institute for one year. She accepted Christ as her personal Saviour, was baptized, and was accepted into the Elm Creek Mennonite Brethren Church. After receiving her teaching certificate, she taught several years at Moosehorn, Man., two years in St. Vital, Man., and five years in Grimsby, Ont. She moved to B.C. and then to Edmonton, where she completed a B.Ed. at the University of Alberta in 1975. She taught in Edmonton until her illness. She was married to Bill Nelson on March 26, 1977. In the latter part of 1977, she became ill. Despite her suffering, she was able to put her trust in God, and believe that she was in his hands.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bill, her father, Henry Enns, two sisters, five brothers, and many relatives and friends.
