PETER N. GIESBRECHT

Peter N. Giesbrecht, son of Mr. and Mrs . Peter P. Giesbrecht of Yarrow, B.C. was called home by the Lord on September 10. His death came after a long heart illness. He was born on December 11,1945 in Chilliwack, B.C . In his teen years he became a Christian, was baptized, and became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Yarrow. After high school he spent three years at the Briercrest Bible Institute where he graduated and followed the Lord's leading into the field of aviation. On May 20, 1972 he was married .to Gerlinde (Gerry) Bartel in Chilliwack and in their six years of marriage the Lord blessed the couple with two girls, Valerie and Denise. They now lived in Calgary. He is remembered by his family as an active Christian and spiritual leader, one who loved the Lord and tried to follow him in every part of his life. He is survived by his wife, his two daughters, his parents, six brothers and wives, and two sisters and husbands. The funeral was conducted from the Highland Mennonite Brethren Church of Calgary, on September 14, with Henry Willms and Bill McColley ministering.
