JOHN MAMM

John Ma John Mamm of Abbotsford, B.C., died suddenly on July 24 at his home. He was 54. Born to Jacob Bernard and Louise (nee Holstein) Mamm on August 22, 1923 in Gronau, Westfalen, Germany, he came to Canada with his parents in 1923 when he was one month old. His parents were born in Russia and emigrated to Germany from the Russian Caucasus in 1921. They lived in Abbotsford from 1931 on; here John attended school. He worked in New Westminster, Blubber Bay, as a berry farmer and as a trucker. He accepted Christ as his Saviour while in a conscientious objectors camp in 1941. Predeceased by his mother, he leaves to mourn his father, J. B. Mamm; four bro hers, Jacob, Harry, Irvin and Frank; two sisters, Mary and (Mrs.) Elizabeth Schroeder; wo aunts in Russia, friends and relatives. Rudy Boschman and Peter Ewert ministered at funeral service.
