ERNA MAIER

Erna Maier passed away July 10. She was born Aug. 20, 1916 in Siberia. Her father, Henry Muller, died when she was 6. The family moved to the Kuban. She grew up sickly but quiet and content. In 1935 she married Abram Maier. Her brother Henry explained the way of salvation in numerous letters. She accepted the Lord, finding assurance in Ps. 86:11-13. She arrived in Canada in 1973. She was baptized in 1973 and joined Clearbrook (B.C.) MB Church. She loved the fellowship of believers and gained many f?ends. She was always busy sewing, knitting and crocheting. The visit of her 3 daughters in the last 20 months was a great joy, particularly the conversion of the 2 eldest. She often repeated Ps. 23, was much in prayer and loved singing until her voice gave way. Her life was a testimony to her steadfast faith. Predeceased by son Viktor in 1941, she is mourned by her children Melita, Herta, Irina and Alexander, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Russia and her brother Henry's children in Canada. The funeral was July 12.
