AGNES HILDEBRAND

Agnes Hildebrand of Virgil, Onto passed away June 5. She was born July 12, 1901 to Gerhard and Agnes Isaac of Steintal, U.S.S.R. In 1912 they moved to Tschongrau. Here she accepted Christ, was baptized and joined the MB Church. She married Gerhard Hildebrand in Tschongrau in 1920. In 1920 they immigrated to Canada with 2 children. They farmed near Lena, Man. They retired to Killarney, Man. in 1967. She suffered a severe stroke in 1974 but recovered. In 1980 they moved to Pleasant Manor, Virgil. In 1986 she moved to Tabor, Manor, St. Catharines. Predeceased by her husband in 1985 and 2 children in infancy in the U.S.S.R., she is mourned by her children Susan Didkowski of Snowflake, Man., Jean Guenther of Winnipeg, Martha Droyda of Dryden, Ont., Mary Krahn of Winnipeg, and Abe and Art of St. Catharines; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters. The funeral was June 7 in Virgil MB Church, with Walter Bergman and Rudy Bartel ministering.
