HENRY D. WIENS

Henry D. Wiens of Kitchener, Ont. passed away May 8. He was born Feb. 16, 1923 to David and Mary Wiens. He accepted Christ at a young age, was baptized and joined Leamington (Ont.) MB Church. The family moved to Kitchener in 1941. He married Erna Janzen of Kitchener June 15, 1946. He was very active in church as a trustee and Sunday school teacher. He initiated a midweek program that later became Christian Service Brigade an d Pioneer Girls, and served as a Brigade leader. In 1975 he fulfilled a lifelong dream by starting his own business, Wiens Precision Machining Ltd. He suffered a stroke in 1985 and sons Alan and Philip took over the business. He continued to enjoy family, friends, church and business. He is mourned by his wife; daughter Louise Epp; sons Fred, Alan and Philip; 11 grandchildren and 1 brother. The funeral was May 11 in Kitchener MB Church, with Ron Toews ministering.
