LENA KASPER

Lena Kasper of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away June 15. She was born Oct. 30, 1904 to John and Anna Neufeld in Ignatiwka, Russia. She accepted Jesus, was baptized and joined the MB Church. She married Nicolai Kasper June 7, 1925. On July 26, 1926 they immigrated to Canada with her parents, brothers and sisters. They settled at Truax, Sask., where they farmed. Here they adopted two children, desiring to win them for the Lord. In 1944 they moved to B.C. and continued farming. , Ater retiring from farming Nicolai went into the real estate business. They lived in Abbotsford and Clearbrook, joining King Road MB Church. Ater Nicolai's passing, she moved to Tabor Home and then Menno Hospital. She suffered several strokes and was often bedridden. She loved the Lord and longed to see him. Predeceased by her husband, 5 brothers, 3 sisters and 1 granddaughter, she is mourned by her daughter Lydia Derksen; son John; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and 1 sister.
