HELENA J. WIENS

Helena J. Wiens of Coaldale, Alta. passed away May 3. She was born Oct. 27, 1900 in Orenburg, U.S.S.R. In 1922 she married Frank A. Wiens. In October, 1926 they immigrated to Canada, settling in Acme, Alta. They moved to Cochrane, Alta. and then Coaldale. In 1932 she accepted Jesus. She desired to live in Coaldale because of its strong Christian testimony; here their children could be raised for the Lord. She is remembered for her implicit faith in ,Jesus, uncomplaining spirit and unceasing prayers for family, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband in 1984 and 3 grandchildren, she is mourned by daughters Katherine and Lucille of Coaldale, Ellen Hildebrand of Foremost, Alta., Mary Tymburski of Lethbridge, Alta. and Ruth Wyton of Coaldale; sons Abram of Lomond, Alta. , Frank of Sterling, Alta. and Neil of Vauxhall, Alta.; 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The funeral was May 7 in Coaldale MB Church, with Nick Reimer ministering.
