HENRY VOTH

Henry Voth of Vancouver, B.C., was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on April 17, 1978. He was born on August 19, 1910 at Nickolaifeld, Russia, to Jacob and Helena (Goertzen) Voth. Shortly after the family moved to Siberia, his mother passed away. However the Lord provided loving care and led the family to Manitoba, Canada in 1927. In 1932 Henry Voth accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord during revival meetings led by Rev. D. D. Derksen. That July he was baptized and joined the Griswold, Man., Mennonite Brethren Church.

In 1933 he moved to Vancouver where, on January 30, 1937, he married Agatha Neufeld. To the Voths were born four children: Henry, David, Helen and Frieda. For 37 years he worked in the construction industry, most recently with the H. Voth and Sons Company. He enjoyed working together with his sons .

Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife, Agatha; his children and their spouses: Henry and Lilly, David and Marilyn, Helen (Mrs . Richard) Beswick, and Frieda (Mrs. Raymond) Hall; six grandchildren; his mother-in-law, (Mrs.) Sara Esau; two brothers, Jacob and Henry; one sister, (Mrs.) Henry Peters; and a host of relatives and friends.
