Viola Wiens

Viola Wiens of New Westminster, B.C. passed away May 1, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born Mar. 16, 1939 to Cornelius and Margaret Willms at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont. She grew up in southern Ontario. She accepted Christ as a teen, was baptized and joined the MB church in St. Catharines. She attended Bethany Bible School, Hepburn, Sask., where she met her husband, Herb Wiens; they were married July 7, 1962. She served the Lord in various ways, singing in church choirs and teaching Sunday school. Most recently she was an active member of Willingdon MB Church, Burnaby, B.C. During her illness, she was comforted by the thought that she would soon be with Jesus. Predeceased by her father, she is mourned by her mother of St. Catharines; daughter Gerri of Port Coquitlam, B.C.; son Howard of Burnaby; 2 sisters and 1 brother. The funeral was May 4 in Willingdon MB Church, with Carlin Weinhauer ministering.
