David Riediger

David Riediger of Vauxhall, Alta. passed away Feb. 5. He was born Nov. 2, 1902 in southern Russia. He married Neta Isaak June 13, 1926. They immigrated to Canada in August, 1926, settling near Swalwell, Alta. They moved to Stavely, Alta. in 1928 and to the Vauxhall area in 1935. In 1949 they moved t.o another farm near Vauxhall. In 1974 they retired to Vauxhall. He enjoyed hunting and, in his retirement years, fishing and woodworking. Predeceased by 2 grandchildren, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, he is survived by his wife; daughters Kaye Haggith of Bellingham, WA, Lydia White of Calgary, Mary Row of Prince George, B.C., Margaret Rempel of Vauxhall and Shirley Bengry of Lethbridge, Alta.; sons David A. of Brooks, Alta., Jake of Vauxhall and Kornelius of Quesnel, B.C.; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters and 1 brother. The funeral was Feb. 9 in Vauxhall MB Church, with Rudy Heidebrecht and Henry Unruh ministering.
