KURT JONATHAN BARG>

Baby Kurt Jonathan's arrival on October 7, 1977 resulted in truly a thanksgiving weekend for his parents, George and Linda (nee Wiens) Barg of Rosedale, B.C. The parents were delighted with this second treasure from heaven and thanked the Lord for two healthy sons, pledging to do their best to raise them in his ways. Kurt was a delightful child. His wide-eyed smiles and excited gurgles thrilled his brother Jason and warmed the hearts of family and friends. God allowed his parents to care for him for three months, two weeks and five days and then called him home to himself on January 27. He spent his last hours in the dedicated care of doctors and staff at the Chilliwack General Hospital. The death was due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Left to mourn, but not without hope, are his parents, George and Linda Barg; brother Jason; grandparents Bernhard and Anna Barg of Ryder Lake and Henry and Mary Wiens of Abbotsford, and many more friends and relatives. Funeral services were held on January 30 from the Eden Mennonite Church, Chilliwack, with George Groening officiating.
