Anna Baerg of Vineland, Ont. passsed away Feb. 4. She was born Feb. 10, 1901 to Mr. and Mrs. Mandtler in Lichtenau, southern Russia. She was raised in a Christian home and accepted Jesus at 17; she was baptized and accepted into the MB church. In 1922 she married Willhelm Baerg. They immigrated to Canada in 1925. After a brief period in Manitoba, they moved to Port Rowan, Ont. and then to Vineland. They were faithful members of Vineland MB Church. She is remembered as a creative person who enjoyed embroidery, quilting, handcrafts, sewing, baking and gardening. Her work was always completed with precision. After Willhelm died in January, 1973, she lived as a quiet and faithful believer, serving her family until her stroke in April, 1985. In her last years she suffered much pain. She is remembered by her children Laura, Hilda, Edith, Victor, Selma and Erna; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The funeral was Feb. 7 in Vineland MB Church, with Helmut Koop ministering.
