Anna Willms

Anna (Neufeld) Willms of Coaldale, Alta. passed away Feb. 9. She was born Mar. 27, 1903 in Gnadenthal, southern Russia. On Dec. 5, 1925 she came to Canada, settling in Kitchener, Onto In spring, 1926 she moved to Grassy Lake, Alta. On Apr. 5, 1927 she married John Willms. They farmed near Grassy Lake until retiring to Lethbridge, Alta. in 1964. In July, 1987 she moved to Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale. She accepted Jesus early in life and was later baptized. Her relationship with the Lord was evident in every part of her life. She is remembered for her strong faith and her loving, self-sacrificing nature. She was a member of Lakeview MB Church in Lethbridge. Predeceased by her husband John Nov. 6, 1981 and 1 infant son, she is mourned by her children Verna Dell of Edmonton, Anna Braun of Lethbridge and Henry and John of Grassy Lake; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral was Feb. 12 in Coaldale MB Church, with George Braun and Rudy Heidebrecht ministering.
