Mary Goosen

Mary Goosen of Foam Lake, Sask. passed away Feb. 12. She was born Feb. 2, 1913 to Henry and Anne Hoffman at Main Centre, Sask. She was educated in the Main Centre area. Her father died in 1930. His last prayer was that he eventually be reunited with his family in heaven. This spoke to Mary's heart, and shortly afterward she accepted Jesus. She was baptized Aug. 24 in the South Saskatchewan River by Abe Remple and then received into Main Centre MB Church. On May 31 , 1942 she was married to Isaac Goosen of Foam Lake by Rev. N. Janz. Her main interests were homemaking, crocheting, quilting and babysitting. She looked after her mother for 20 years until her death in 1951. Predeceased by her husband Isaac Mar. 14, 1989, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, she is mourned by her daughter Elaine; son Allan; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 sister. The funeral was Feb. 15 in Foam Lake Gospel Fellowship Church, with Art Isaac ministering.
