Margaret Reimer

Margaret Reimer of Port Rowan, Ont. passed away Nov. 9. She was born Aug. 14, 1897 to Henry and Maria Petker in Tiegenhagen, Russia. She accepted Christ as a child. She married Jacob Reimer in 1923. In 1925 they immigrated to Canada with 2 children, joining some of her family in Selkirk, Ont. They later moved to a farm near Port Rowan. In 1969 they retired to a new home close to Port Rowan MB Church, where she was a member. She was known to all as "Oma Reimer". She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed big reunions in her home. She loved her Saviour and would spend her early hours praying for the church family and all her family by name. She desired that they would all meet her some day in heaven. Her wish was granted, to die at home with all her children present. Predeceased by her husband, 4 sisters, 1 brother, 1 daughter, 1 son and 2 grandsons, she is survived by her children Jake, Henry, Margaret Driedger, Helen Heinrichs, Bill and Erna Hiebert; 33 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers. The funeral was Nov. 13 in Port Rowan MB Church, with Corny Braun ministering.
