Sherry-Lynn De Silva Piques

Sherry-Lynn De Silva Piques of Beamsville, Ont. passed away Jan. 12. She was born Jan. 17, 1967 in Montreal. After S years, she moved to Scarborough with her mother. During high school she accepted Christ and was baptized. She entered nurse's training but in fall, 1985 became ill with lupus and had to terminate the training. Now and then she went into remission. She married Kevin De Silva Piques Sept. 17, 1988 and joined Mountview MB Church in Stoney Creek, Ont. A few months later she had to be hospitalized. On Nov. 5, I989 they went to Greece and Italy to seek treatment. After 3 weeks, she took ill with pneumonia, but returned to Canada Dec. 30. She suffered greatly, but the Lord sustained her and her deep faith in Christ remained firm. She is mourned by her husband; father James Seed; mother Shirley Redman; siblings Brian Seed, Kelley Seed and Lisa Redman; and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Seed and Mr. and Mrs. Gord Taylor. The funeral was Jan. 16 in Mountview MB Church, with Jake Bergen ministering.
