Retired Farmer Killed In Crossing Accident
Archbold, Ohio. — Injuries suffered in a railroad crossing accident in Wauseon three days earlier proved fatal on June 6 to Harvey Nofziger, 73, retired farmer of Route 3, Wauseon.
It was reported that Mr. Nofziger drove his car in front of a Norfolk and Western train which was traveling less than 25 miles per hour. The car was thrown off the track and struck a signal pole, and Mr. Nofziger suffered grave injuries. He was taken to Detwiler Hospital, where he died Sunday evening.
Formerly of Stuttgart, Ark., he had farmed in the Fayette and Wauseon community for many years.
