Birth date: 1891

text of obituary:

• Miss Julie Neufeld of Newton received word that her mother, Mrs. Anna Neufeld, 74, had died April 23 at Ayguz, Kazakhstan, Russia. Funeral services were held there April 25. Miss Neufeld is employed as a nurse at Prairie View Hospital. Also surviving are three sons living in America — Gerhard of Minneapolis, Minn., Jacob of Winnipeg, and Bernhard of Vancouver, b. C. — as well as a daughter, Anna, and three sons, Wilhelm, John and Dietrich, all living in Kazakhstan. Due to conditions in Europe during World War II the family became separated, and the fate of the husband and father, Dietrich Neufeld, as well as that of two other sons, Franz and Peter, is unknown. Miss Needled was able to flee to Germany and Holland at the close of the war and later came to America.
