• Two cars collided almost head-on last Saturday evening on K-14 south of Kingman, resulting in the death of Robert L. Hardgens, 63, of Anthony, and injuring the two 18-year-old girls in the other car. Loretta L. Graber of rural Kingman suffered a fractured skull, broken knee cap and severe lacerations to the face and leg. Lois Voth of Moundridge had face and leg lacerations. It was reported that the Hardgens car crossd into the opposite lane at the top of a small grade, causing the crash.
