• Herman P. Jantzen, 82, former resident of Newton and more recently a guest at the Pleasant View Home, Inman, died Dec. 3 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Pleasant View Home and the Bethel College Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Russell Mast officiated. Mr. Jantzen was employed for many years at American Flours. He is survived by his widow, of Pleasant View Home; one daughter, Mrs. H. J. Voth of Newton; two sons, David F. of Hutchinson and Walter G. of Topeka; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

HERMAN P. JANTZEN

Herman P. Jantzen, 82, former Newton resident, died Thursday morning, Dec. 3, at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. He had been living at Pleasant View Home in Inman since July.

Mr. Jantzen was born Nov. 1, 1882 in Hillsboro, Kan., the son of Franz and Gertrude Jantzen. He formerly was employed at American Flours in Newton.

Mr. Jantzen married Agnes Unruh at Inman on Aug. 7, 1904.

He was a member of the Bethel College Mennonite Church.

Survivors include his widow, of Inman; one daughter, Mrs. Herb (Martha) Voth of Newton, two sons, David F. of Hutchinson and Walter G. of Topeka; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant View Home at Inman and at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel College Mennonite Church. Rev. Russell Mast officiated and burial was made in Greenwood Cemetery.
