• Willie T. Schierling, 64, formerly of Inman and a retired farmer, died Sunday at Axtell Christian Hospital. The family residence is on Willow Road in Newton, and he was a member of the Koerner Heights Gospel M. B. Church. Funeral services were conducted at the Zoar M. B. Church near Inman on Wednesday forenoon, with Rev. David D. Block of Newton and Rev. E. C. Ollenburger of Inman in charge. Surviving are the widow, the former Susie Thiessen, the son and three daughters and their families, five brothers and three sisters. George T. Schierling of North Newton is among the surviving brothers.
