WILLIAM HENRY PLANK

William Henry Plank, son of John and Sarah (King) Plank, was born Dec. 9, 1867 near Lancaster, Ohio, the oldest of 12 children. He passed away Sept. 4, 1964 at the Pomona (Calif.) Convalescent Home, at the age of 96 years, eight months, and 25 days.

From Ohio he moved with the family to Milford, Neb., where he spent 10 years. He later moved to Reno County, Kan., living at Sterling and Hutchinson, and later to Pasadena, Calif., where he spent many years. He was employed at the Rose Bowl for 35 years.

In 1891 he married Phoebe Ehresman at Seward, Neb. Two children were born to them, Kathrin and Jessie. His first wife passed away at Alahambra, Calif. He later married Beulah Thompson of Benkelman, Neb., who faithfully cared for him the last few years until she was suddenly taken away a few weeks before Henry's passing. The Lord was more and more precious to him as the years rolled on.

He leaves one daughter, four grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; one brother, Sol Plank; two sisters, Bertha Gerber and Mamie Garber, all of Harper, Kan.
