FIVE-YEAR-OLD LAD FATALLY INJURED IN FEED AUGER ACCIDENT

Tiskilwa, Ill. — Mark Calvin Albrecht, five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Albrecht, fell into the feed auger that extends from a silo into a cattle feed bunk, and was instantly killed. An older brother and sister saw him get caught in the equipment. They shut off the machinery and summoned their father, who was nearby in a milk parlor.

Mark Calvin's parents removed him from the auger trough and rushed him to a doctor. He passed away on the evening of Jan. 21.

Funeral services were held in the Willow Springs Mennonite Church at Tiskilwa, with burial in the church cemetery. John Detwiler, a layman, and Pastor C. Warren Long had charge of the services. Pastor Long is the father to Mrs. Albrecht.

The Albrechts have four other children. Two sons, Douglas and Paul, and two daughters, Deborah and Lucinda. Silas and Emma Albrecht are the parents of Stanley Albrecht.
