Text of obituary:

ÁGANETHA THIESSEN,' née Epp, was born in West Prussia, January 31, 1857. Her parents were Peter and Aganetha Epp, née Andres. Her childhood was spent in Germany. When she was thirteen years old she, with her parents, left Germany to make their home in Russia. When she was seventeen years old she was baptized upon her confession of faith by Rev. Jacob Toews. On December 16, 1880 she was united in marriage with Heinrich Thiessen. Six children were born to this union, all of whom are living at present.

Surviving besides these six children, are forty-two grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, one brother and two half sisters. Four grandchildren preceded her in death. Our dear father passed away November 12, 1931. This made her life very lonely.

In 1883 our parents came to American and settled near Beatrice, Nebraska. In the spring of 1888 they came to Kansas and joined the Emmaus church, where she remained a faithful member until her death. She enjoyed good health until old age made life hard for her.

On December 27 she suffered a stroke from which she did not recover, and very quietly passed away January 7 at the age of eighty-four years.

Sleep on beloved, sleep and take thy rest,
&tab;Lay down thy head upon the Saviour's breast
We loved thee well, but Jesus loved thee best,
&tab;Good night, good night, good night.

Interment was in the Emmaus cemetery, with her pastor officiating.

J. C. Kaufman, Pastor
