MRS. BARBARA DILLER

Barbara Anna Diller, daughter of Jacob E. and Mary Augsburger Greider, was born in New Carlisle, Ohio on March 19, 1897 and departed from this life on Dec. 13, 1963, aged 66 years, eight months and 24 days. Her death was due to complications following surgery. In 1917 she was married to Joseph B. Diller who preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1926.

She is survived by five children: Norman and Herman, both of Elida, Ohio; Mary (Mrs. Dorsa Mishler), Elkhart, Ind.; Esther, (Mrs. Richard Hartman), Elida, Ohio; and Martha (Mrs. Carl Yoder), Archbold, Ohio. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and one sister, Salena (Mrs. Oliver Headings), De Graff, Ohio.

Her success in keeping her family together and providing for them during their growing years was a real testimony to her trust in God and to her own resourcefulness and energy. For the past four years she was employed at the Gomer School Cafeteria.

She became a Christian in her youth and had been a faithful member of the Pike Mennonite Church near Elida, Ohio since then. During these years she willingly gave of her time and talents to the work of the Lord and the church through the Sunday School, WMSA, and music. Her years were enriched by deep interests in her family, church and community, which brought her into contact with many friends. She was always alert to opportunities for sharing, and freely gave herself to those in need.

Funeral services were held at the Pike Mennonite Church on Dec. 15, 1963, with Paul Smith, Harold Good and Richard Martin in charge. Interment was at the Salem Cemetery.
