• Bertha E. Hartzler, 80, a resident of the Garden City, Mo. community most of her life, died Sunday evening at Schowalter Villa in Hesston where she had been a guest since 1961. A memorial service was held Monday evening at the Miller Funeral Home in Goessel, with Rev. Wesley Jantz officiating, after which the body was sent to Garden City for final services and burial Wednesday forenoon. Miss Hartzler leaves two brothers, Earl of Latour, Mo. and Jesse of Wellman, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Prudence Pickett of Hesston.
