Mrs. Deckert died Jan. 13, 1945. A few years later Mr. Deckert had sale and quit farming. The last six years of his life he stayed at the Tieszen Home for Aged in Marion. He was taken to the Freeman Hospital on March 15 and departed this life May 9, 1963, reaching the age of 85 years, one month, and 27 days.
